Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited activities when using the Status Page service ("Service") operated by CloudSigma FZ-LLC. This AUP is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to create, store, display, or distribute content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or fraudulent
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of third parties
- Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
- Impersonates another person or entity
- Contains personal data of individuals without their consent
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam)
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, authorization, or rate-limiting mechanisms
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise collect data from the Service beyond normal API usage
- Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks or network abuse
- Sell, resell, or sublicense access to the Service without authorization
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation
3. API Usage
When using the API, you must:
- Respect published rate limits and back off appropriately on 429 responses
- Keep API keys confidential and never expose them in client-side code
- Include a descriptive User-Agent header identifying your application
- Not make excessive requests designed to overload the system
4. Notification Usage
The notification system is designed for legitimate status communication. You may not:
- Use notifications for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes
- Send notifications to subscribers who have not opted in
- Abuse the notification system to harass or spam recipients
- Create artificial incidents to trigger notifications for testing without using designated test channels
5. Resource Limits
To ensure fair use for all customers, we enforce reasonable limits on:
- Number of components per organization
- Number of active incidents
- API request rates
- File upload sizes (logos, favicons)
- Subscriber counts per organization

6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning notification to the account owner
- Temporary suspension of Service access
- Permanent termination of your account
- Legal action where appropriate
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and take appropriate action without prior notice in urgent cases.
7. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please report it to abuse@cloudsigma.com with details of the violation.
